I’m Patsy Manning, a retired educator. I have lived with Parkinson’s every day for the past 18 years. I am also a care partner to my husband, a former musician, who lives with kidney failure. My philosophy is, “Everyone has some kind of challenge in their lives, that’s a fact.” I’m lucky, in fact, I’m blessed. Since my diagnosis, I have learned empathy for others now who may have a disability I may or may not see. If you don’t see my Parkinson’s then I’m doing a good job. Special thanks to Nancy Floodberg, without whose help I would not be here to write these words.
